Chainsaw Man

Why it is on our lists

Chainsaw Man is violent, funny, horny, lonely, and much sadder than its premise first suggests. It treats ordinary comforts as precious because its characters have so little of them, then uses sudden genre violence to show how easily a person can be turned into a tool.
